Walking in Downtown Nanaimo
Nanaimo's downtown is very, very small in comparison with Vancouver or even Victoria. However, it's a great deal more interesting than the 1950's suburban sprawls south and east of Vancouver proper. A lot of our buildings are remarkably old by BC standards, and nobody seems to care that dilapidated coal-miner shanties are leaning out over the sidewalks.
